Snakes all over the world

For writing we have read a book and wrote the information on a slide. We used the information to write an animal report.

Snakes all over the world

A snake is a reptile that can be poisonous. A reptile is cold blooded which means they are hot when it's cold and cold when it’s hot.

Where do you find snakes: Snakes are mostly found in the warmer parts of the world. That's why there are no snakes in New Zealand, Iceland or the South and North pole. You can find them in Australia. They live in water, trees and caves.
Snake types: The bright coloured snakes are a warning that the snake is poisonous. There are almost 3000 types of snakes in the world. And half of them are poisonous.

Reproduction:Snakes don’t have live babies they lay eggs. This is because they are reptiles. Burmese pythons produce the most eggs. They can produce up to 100 eggs.
Appearance: Snakes have scaly skin, some have dull colours. They can be really long. There eyes can be straight lines or circle. Their two teeth look really sharp.

Snake threats:Many snakes are dying because their habitats are getting destroyed to build towns and cities.

Diet:Snakes eat their food in one piece. Snakes open their mouth very wide because their lower jaw is loosely joined to the bottom skull. This means large snakes can eat large things

Don’t kill snakes for their skin!

how to throw a shotput

For writing we have been learning how to write explanations. Here is my explanation on how to throw a shot put.
How to throw a shotput
Have you ever wondered about how to throw a shot put?
Shot put is a game when you throw a heavy ball.

First you put your fingertips on the shot put. Put the shot put by your ear with your hand upside down and your elbow sticking out.
Then you put your legs shoulder width apart. After that bend your back knees and turn hips so you are facing to the back foot the back foot is the one you don't write with.
Finally push the shot put into the air.
That is how you throw a shot put.

Partly Cloudy writing

         Partly cloudy

Quickly the birds raced down to drop off the pets and babies to the stinky houses. Then the pelicans ran away into the clouds like magic to pick up another animal. The magical cloud called Midget made a dog. Sadly the grey cloud didn't live with the pink cloud. So he made a crocodile. Then his pelican whose name was Jack came to pick it up. When he came back to the grey cloud he took a ram in a bag. He came back and he had made a porcupine who was covered in spikes. Then he put it in a soft white bag with the spikes coming through. He came back and went to a different cloud so he got full of rage and started to cry. Then the bird came back with safety gear and the cloud gave him a Electric eel.
